New stuff.
I've chosen to go to Wheaton college! I spent last weekend in California visiting APU, which was my other consideration. The thing is, I would still be okay with going to APU, but it just isn't as wow-ing as Wheaton is. I just know that this is a complete blessing from God that I'm able to go there. Wheaton will be my greatest opportunity to grow mentally, personally, and spiritually. For one thing, Wheaton has the reputation. I'm always hearing that Wheaton is like the Harvard of christian schools, so I'm going to be learning ALOT. It's smaller (a sort-of benifit, I'm just more used to a small school), and it has a very tight yet open and welcoming community so that I can make those lifelong friendships that will let me grow personally. It also embraces christianity in all aspects, so of course I will be able to grow spiritually. And heck, It's near Chicago! I don't think I'll ever get to live near Chicago at any other time in my life, so this is going to be an amazing opportunity for me. I can't wait to get out of high school!!!!!
Here's something funny that happened :). Last week my car completely ran out of gas. It was on a tuesday. On the firday before I had looked at my gas meter and noticed that it was almost empty. I thought to myself "ok, I need to fill it up this weekend". I never did. Even stranger though was that I neglected my gas gauge for 4 days. I had always noticed my gauge before it ran out of gas. So when I drove home from school the day before there with NO problems, no noises, nothing. The next morning when I got in my car and began to roll it out of the driveway, it died. I finally noticed the gas meter.
My question is, why did my car die on my driveway? It could have died on the freeway. I could've gotten myself killed. Yet it had the perfect amount of gas to get me home safely, without me noticing that it was out. If this is coincidence, it's a pretty creepy coincidence. But I think something Higher is at work ;).
I actually saw the Glendale off-ramp *empty* at 8:10 last week. That's like prime-time, it's ALWAYS crowded at that time. I couldn't see anything different, like no accidents or anything. It was just baren. How the heck did that happen??
My new favorite word is juicy.
